The WH&FMS held their annual Christmas Social at Gilligans Restaurant on Johns Island, SC, on December 3rd. There were sixty-three people that enjoyed this social. It was a night for a delicious meal and some fun. A few gifts were given as door prizes and also some songs were enjoyed by all. Thanks for an enjoyable night for all that made plans to attend and for the efforts of Joy Pye and Dora Mae Craven.
Our society gave a Christmas Party following the Youth and Children’s Program on December 17th. A love offering of $200 was given to send to the children of Dowling Park in Florida for Christmas gifts. Thanks to all that made this possible and for the wonderful Christmas Program given by our children and youth of our church.
January 8th will be our next monthly meeting. We are planning an installation service to install our new officers for the new year, 2001. Ladies, you are all invited to join us at 7:00 pm.
The State WH&FMS Rally will be held at our church on Saturday, January 20th at 10:30 am. There will be a meeting in the morning and a meeting in the afternoon with a mid-day meal.
Our society is proud to announce that we have met our yearly givings in the State, Regional and National WH&FMS.
