Youth Fellowship

The Youth have been very busy lately. Several members traveled to New York City with the Band of Blue during the Thanksgiving holiday. Then on November 28th they loaded into the new church van and went to the Carman concert at the Coliseum in Charleston. During the Christmas Program on December 17th, the Youth put on a play and participated in several musical numbers, including a trumpet solo by Jim Pinckney. On December 20th they went Christmas Caroling and gathered afterwards at the Steedley home for games and refreshments. A lock-in was held at the church on Friday, December 22nd. The Youth Orchestra played during the morning service on December 24th before the Cantata, and during the Christmas Program on the 17th. Our Flute trio (Melanie Browning, Sarah Lucas, & Beth Steedley) also played in church during the Christmas season, and they were also asked to play at 2 community events (during the High School Chorus Christmas concert, and at the community Hanging of the Greens Service. The Youth loaded into the new van again on Thursday, December 28th, to head to Charleston for an evening of bowling.

Plans are now being made for a Youth Super Bowl Party at the Parsonage on Super Bowl Sunday (Jan. 28th).

Plans are also being made for some of our youth to attend Big Ski 2001 in Princeton, West Virginia, February 2 - 4.
